Housing Sub-Partnership
The Housing Sub-Partnership consists of representatives from all areas of the Housing sector. It aims to promote the housing agenda across West Berkshire and bring positive outcomes in terms of increased provision and safe, high quality housing in the District.
The Sub-Partnership was established in June 2008 and meets bi-monthly. The Terms of Reference can be viewed in the following document:
Housing
The key aims are to:
- Support economic prosperity through the provision of sufficient housing
- Increase the provision of affordable housing
- Improve the condition of housing in West Berkshire
- Promote independent living for vulnerable people
These are in line with the housing-related targets within the West Berkshire Local Area Agreement:
Housing
NI 154 Net additional homes provided.
NI 155 Number of affordable homes delivered (gross).
Promoting the independence of vulnerable people
NI 141 Number of vulnerable people achieving independent living.
NI 142 Number of vulnerable people who are supported to maintain independent living.

Housing Strategy
The Housing Strategy is currently being updated for 2009-2014 and a consultation exercise during November/December 2008 sought views on the draft housing vision and framework. Details of the Housing Strategy can be accessed by clicking on the link.
